Stress can be short or long term, and it’s not just your imagination. Stress causes chemical changes in the body and the physical symptoms you are experiencing is a result of the reaction of your body. Under chronic stress, the body cortisol, a hormone that the survival response of the body gives, such as an explosion, while the energy and immunity and a high threshold for pain. State of physiological arousal, including heart rate and blood pressure, aimed at the threat of danger easily passed and the body relaxed response kicks in. Under the conditions of chronic stress, cortisol increases during long periods, blocked the relaxation response, and health problems can occur.
